Bonus Ending! LOTR style.

You guys thought I was done didn't you? Thought you had me figured out huh? "I have a word to say concerning these people! If they do not..." Oh ! Sorry I was getting a little ahead of myself. I think you forgot who you were dealing with. As you know by now I've taken up the mantel to provide you "Tonight's entertainment!" Since no Marvel movies are coming out ever again to theatres you don't have the luxury of bonus endings to sit and wait for. Even if there is no alternative ending you'd still rather sit through the entire credits so you don't have to go home right away to your husband whom you hate. I know how some of you are. Still itching to ride, the Asian Quay and I decided to take the 25 hour ferry down to Okinawa. and explore that island.

If you've ever wondered what Okinawa was like because Karate Kid 2 was a total lie and not actually filmed there like you thought (it was filmed in crappy Havaii), then take a stroll through this post.

Here's the Bonus Ending!

Love how blue the water is down here. I haven't scuba dived before but I've been told that these waters are among the best to go scuba diving.

The ferry made some stops at the little Ryukyu Islands and these old bags got on to play their games. Look you can get the inside scoop of me blogging. Now you know it's me doing it and not the infamous Ghost Writer that writes all those books.

Getting din dins in Okinawa. This is nasty Natto in some bread.

Okinawa is famous for its Taco Rice. I've made it before at home after eating it in Iwakuni. It's good but not worth 15 bucks. 'When in Rome' though right?

Another dish we ordered. Deliciousssssss.

I wasn't sure if this was a Church or a Holy Temple. "It's massive!" to quote HQC. But it's fun because look at that giant McDonald's next door. You can go sin and break the sabbath then repent of your sins and worship the Almighty. They got the system figured out!

Some of the bike paths/sidewalks are so wide here. It's like a road next to a road.

I spotted this banana plant to harvest free bananas.

There's a ton of them!

And they're so little, too! They weren't that sweet but rather more tart and a bit dry. However, you can't look a gift horse in the mouth. My mom taught me that one.

Cows' feet.

This area is a fun place to spend for a few hours.

They have a glass blowing section.

I was thinking this would be a fun skill to learn.

Then Holly shattered (see what I did there?) my hopes and dreams by saying that many glass blowers have vision problems after doing it for several years from looking at that fiery kiln al day. I've already been suffering from bad eye floaters since a few days ago.

Look how neat this is.

Love this glass ceiling. It's even better than the glass ceiling that Hillary Clinton wasn't able to break.

Rich plate movements.

These things are expensive.

Imagine striking your kid after he/she broke one of these.

These blue glass whales are all neat.

Would you guys use these for decoration or would you eat with them?

Back to nature. Look at this tree's roots. I hope my posterity goes down that far.

Let's give you your World War II history lesson for the day. During the Battle of Okinawa in the hot summer of '45. US troops swarmed the island. The students at the schools hid here and in many other caverns dotting the island. Many medical procedures were done in these caves, too. Soon they had to leave because the American soldiers came. The Japanese military instructed the citizens to kill themselves rather than be killed to Americans. #becausehonor

Many ran to this cliff and jumped off.

This is a nice little park called the Peace Park.

That's a memorial for it.

The houses in Okinawa are way different. It really doesn't feel like Japan at all. I haven't seen a single Shrine! And you know I love those.

I do like how the second floors have nice balconies. Instead of just making another room they have it as open space so you can enjoy the breeze.

The old castle ruins. These trees are fun. Look at all those roots.

They just hang down and do whatever they want.

You guys want to go for a swim?

Delicious hotel brefess buffet. I was full for almost the rest of the day!

See doesn't this look way different than the mainland of Japan? It's like a mix of overrated Havaii and coolo Taiwan.

Who would you give this shirt to?

Good rice cream. Cones weren't that good.

We were passing by this food truck that sold burros and I had to stop #becauseburros.

These dragons are the mascots for the island. They have them all over the place in different shapes and sizes.

Great beaches.

I didn't go swimming, though. I'll wait for #nexttime.

I got a pic of Holly.

And she got one of me! Sometimes we do that and it's fun.

Paid two bucks to see this waterfall, dang it.

Here's the making of a new tunnel -my favorite.

The black pig is famous around these parts. I didn't notice that much of a difference in taste between it and regular pork.

Time for the Pineapple Park!

It's a place that is fun for the whole family! Unless you're my brother, McKay.

I didn't know pineapples grew like this. Did you?

The little ones are sweet. Just look at them.

Lots of shrubs here.

"And shall spring forth as trees.."

"...flowers..."

"And all manner of life."

Even purple flowers.

See how fun it is here?

Look at the little creatures in the garden.

There's more right there.

HQC is loving it.

I think Mr Pineapple has cured breast cancer!

Oh, now it just turned into Jurassic Park. Cool.

You're not allowed to touch the dinosaurs.

You can only look at them.

Speaking of looking, can you look at this one and not think of Newman? I can't.

This dino was from Jurassic Park 3.

The real reason why the dinos went extinct.

These treats were so good. Pineapple ice cream and some type of pineapple icee thing. But better.

All the pineapple treats you could ever want.

Holly is getting us some more treats.

Very flakey, delicioussssssss crust.

I love my rice cream.

I wanted to ride across this beep.

It's all neat.

Look at that coolo bridge.

Wish we had fun stuff in America like this sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy mushroom.

These graves are like houses for the dead. They don't look like this in the mainland of Japan.

We were riding past a group of protestors that want the US bases out of Okinawa. I agree, at least get rid of a few of them. Too many Americans there. Ruin everything.

Can you see the man working in his field tending to his crops?

We slept in this park. This fat cat also wanted to stay with us. I wasn't having any of it.

The little shelter kept us dry, thankfully.

Our last official biking brefess in the field.

My dad loves steep grades. I wonder what he would say about this one if he looked at my blog.

There's Okinawa for you.

Looks like a fun area.

If you watched Hacksaw Ridge, this is where it's at.

I need to watch that movie now.

This little man was playing golf or croquet or something.

I love tunnels as much as I love caves. This is Okinawa's largest cave system. Somehow none of it got damaged in the war. This was a very warm cave compared to others I have been in.

Look how many stalactites there are.

This cave had some neat underground water flowing through it.

I wanted to swim but people don't like to have fun.

The water was refreshing when I touched it.

It's like I'm in Halo.

This one was neat. The stalagmite on the right must have gotten shifted in an earthquake then the one on the left started forming.

You guys prolly think I eat too much rice cream huh?

I didn't realize those coolo drapes they have hanging up on the doorways of Japan have multi purposes.

Some wagyu beef peaksa.

I'm going to miss their fun mistranslations.

Back on the ferry. The old people get excited and look out the window the whole time.

Ordered a meal on the ferry.

I don't know why they didn't install an elevator on this ferry.

In Fukuoka we got the delicious Hakata ramen.

Finally got to see the Fukuoka Holy Temple. It was closed, though. Dang it.

Check out that skinny house.

A typical Japanese restaurant. Small, simple, and efficient.

I wasn't about to leave Japan without having Okonomiyaki #onelasttime.

This curry was only 3 bucks. So cheap.

Delicious star fruit. I think I ate it wrong. People told me to add salt.

It's all good!

Christmist lights at the Fukuoka train station.

Alright before this turns in to Return of the King with it's infinite endings, let's call it a day.
